Head of Renewable Energies Department

The Department of Renewable Energies is the youngest of the departments of the Faculty of Technology. Its creation, at the beginning of 2013, responds to the national obligation to develop a training structure capable of meeting the country's needs by 2030.

According to the forecasts of the national program for the development of Renewable Energies, these needs are estimated at several tens of thousands of direct jobs, to be occupied by technicians and engineers who have received training adapted to the needs.

The creation of the department is also a natural outcome, given the number of training offers offered by the teaching team.

Pedagogical team which has already trained a significant number in:

  • Graduation (Bachelor and Master)
  •  Post Graduation (Magister and Doctorate)

All the winners, trained and supervised by the teaching team, are active in various public or private sectors (Socio-economic sector, Education, Research). Some are contributing to the emergence of structures dedicated to Renewable Energies, in the institutions where they work.

As such, the Renewable Energies department has been offering training offers since September 2015 National Recruitment  in :

  • Degree in Renewable Energies
  • Master in Renewable Energies in the following options:
  1. Thermal Conversion
  2. Voltaic Photo Conversion
  3. Bioclimatic Habitat

Recruited directly after the baccalaureate, according to their mark of national ranking, candidates for a Bachelor's degree in Renewable Energy follow their studies under the conditions normally offered to the elite class of the University of Blida 1.

The license offered is of a generalist nature and of discovery of the specialties offered. In accordance with the founding principles of the LMD system, it allows its holder to continue their studies by preparing a Master's degree, then possibly a Doctorate in the specialty of their choice.

In addition to the Pedagogical and Research Laboratories of the University of Blida 1, the training offered is supported by exchange and partnership agreements concluded with the Research Units and Centers active in the field.
