The Department of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Technology at the University of Blida 1 deals with the formation of the license, Master and Doctorate in Civil Engineering for the three options: Structures/Metal and Mixed Framework, Materials in Engineering Civil as well as Geotechnical.

Endowed with a management of masterful rank, composed of eight (08) professors, six (06) lecturers and a very appreciable number of master assistants with extensive practical and educational experience, the Civil Engineering department takes care of the organization and follow-up of practical work in Resistance of Materials (RDM), Soil Mechanics (MDS) and Technology of Construction Materials (TMC). Within the framework of the agreements signed between the University of Blida 1 and construction companies, site exits, building projects, engineering structures, roads, dams, foundation works, he special works, among others, are organized on a permanent basis for bachelor's and master's students.

At the end of the course, an end-of-study project (PFE/Master) completes the training with a bibliographic and practical dissertation which is defended before a jury made up of teachers from the department.

For post-graduation, our department has two research laboratories (Materials and Geotechnics), equipped with structural software and research equipment.
