Conservation of immovable and movable heritage

The objective of the research is to better respond to the issues related to the conservation and restoration of the architectural and archaeological heritage. In this field, the idea has long persisted that “identical restitution” perfectly answers the questions asked. In 1998, the law relating to the protection of heritage established the obligation to comply with the new doctrines of critical restoration. With this framework, the research will strive to produce an in-depth knowledge of the heritage based on the development of a computerized inventory and on the updating of the archaeological cartography of Algeria by Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In order to develop preventive conservation and restoration practices, research will develop methodological tools to optimize the intervention. Oriented towards the analysis, diagnosis and evaluation of stratigraphic deposits, the method to be developed will consist in creating a unified set of information necessary for all architectural and urban interventions in stratified urban or rural environments (towns and villages) or on sites of high archaeological value. It will be a useful instrument for the management of development operations in towns with proven heritage status and undisputed archaeological reserves. Inventory of scientific explorations of the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, Computerized inventory of movable and immovable cultural property. Development of preventive conservation and restoration techniques based on the specificities of local heritage. Experimentation of diagnostic tools, Elaboration of stratigraphic studies
