Treatments, Valorization of Plant Resources and by-products from IAA

Overall goals

The research activities planned, within the framework of this project, aim to develop new food products by exploiting natural resources to replace certain ingredients (additives), which are strongly criticized because of their harmful effects. The process component (technology) will be addressed by the implementation of new techniques aimed at better preservation of food products. The impact aspects of agri-food activities and the valorization of all value-added by-products occupy an important place in the activities of this research team. Convinced of the challenge for the sustainable development of the food industries, the treatment of waste and liquid effluents in particular, because of their considerable quantity, of water constitutes one of the priority themes with a view to reuse.
