The rector of the University of Blida1, Prof. Mohamed BEZZINA, officially launched, Sunday April 21, 2024, in the conference room of the Institute of Aeronautics and Space Studies, the work of the scientific workshop entitled: “ A promising pathway to a sustainable energy future” which will take place from April 21 to 22, 2024.
The workshop was attended by the General Director of the company NAFTAL, the Director of Energy and Mines of the wilaya of Blida, the representative of the Cosider Group, various actors from the university staff: managers, teachers and students.
In his speech, the rector stressed that Algeria has significant potential in clean energy and renewable energy which allows it to play a remarkable role in this area.
The workshop also saw the participation of Mr. Belkacem OULD BOUAMMAMA, Professor at the Polytechnic Engineering School of the University of Lille, who presented an oral communication mainly on the production of green hydrogen and its valorization.
For his part, Mr. Ali CHEKNANE, professor at the University of Laghouat, and member of the Advisory Council of the Commission for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CEREFE) specified, in his intervention that hydrogen is considered as a “energy vector” because it offers the possibility of being produced, stored, transported and used.
