The First National Seminar on: the milk sector in Algeria

The Institute of Veterinary Sciences organized, Monday April 22, 2024, in collaboration with the MEGAVET Club, the first National Seminar on: The milk sector in Algeria.
The seminar's work was opened by the rector, Pr.Mohamed BEZZINA, who stressed the need for the convergence of efforts in order to promote the sector and respond to the needs of the national market.
For his part, Dr. Réda BELLALA, Director of the Institute of Veterinary Sciences, highlighted the importance of the involvement of students in such scientific events and their interaction with the economic partners present, namely: the National Interprofessional Office for Milk and Dairy Products (ONILAIT), dairy cow breeders, and food producers in order to guarantee them good training.
Dr. Sedik KEBBAL, emphasized the importance of developing and diversifying dairy production systems by relying on different sources available locally, as well as diversifying food production systems, while highlighting the genetic improvement of dairy cows in Algeria.
On this occasion, a stand was organized, for the exhibition of products and work carried out in this field by the students of the Institute and the students of the scientific club who contributed largely to the success of this seminar during its first day .
