Message from the Head of the Department of Urban Planning

Dr. CHETTAH Saif Eddine

The Department of Urban Planning is committed to adopting new multidisciplinary research approaches to address the emerging planning challenges facing Algerian cities. Guided by a strategic vision and supported by a diverse teaching team—including architects, urban planners, geographers, and engineers—we leverage our combined pedagogical, professional, and research expertise to strengthen the urban planning discipline within our institute.

This vision is reflected in our Bachelor’s Program in Urban Planning, which aims to train specialists in urban and regional development. Our graduates are equipped to tackle new sustainability challenges while enhancing the quality of life. This foundational bachelor’s program will be followed by further academic and professional Master’s programs.

Our commitment to our future students is to support them throughout their academic journey.
