In a special celebratory atmosphere, the Director of the University of Blida 1, Professor Mohamed Bezina, oversaw the honoring ceremony of the students Jaafar Sharif Yamna and Maidi Mohamed Abdel Rahman, in recognition of the global achievements they made in the 2026 World Championship of Kambo, in the presence of university officials and executives, as well as media representatives. 

This honor comes in recognition of the honorable results achieved by the two students, which raised the flag of Algeria high in international sports forums, especially for the year 2026, and contributed to highlighting a bright image of the Algerian university and the ability of its students to excel and shine on the global level.

In his speech on the occasion, the University Director congratulated the students on this exceptional achievement, stressing that this honorable ranking is a source of pride and honor for the University of Blida 1 and for all of Algeria, and reflects the values ​​of diligence, perseverance and will that the youth of the nation possess.

He also praised the support given by the state to outstanding athletes, recalling that the two students were recently honored by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during an official ceremony held at the People’s Palace, which was dedicated to honoring the elite of Algerian athletes who won continental and global competitions.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and commemorative gifts to the two students, amidst an atmosphere of pride and appreciation for this achievement, which adds to the record of successes achieved by students of Blida 1 University in various fields.
