Introduction to the Directorate
It is one of the sub-directorates of Blida 1 University, its tasks are to supervise, guide and promote various scientific, cultural and sports events for university students, and it aims to revitalize the student environment and create a space parallel to the student's academic path that contributes to reducing pressure on students.
It includes two interests, namely
- Department of Scientific and Cultural Activities: These activities are carried out by scientific clubs distributed across the university's faculties and institutes. These clubs participate in national and international competitions in the fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, aviation, programming and computer science, veterinary medicine, etc., and conduct various awareness campaigns throughout the year.
Cultural activities in general, which focus on commemorating historical and national events (November 1st, January, Women's Day, etc.), are carried out by the sub-directorate in cooperation with the activities departments at the college and institute levels.
- Department of Sports and Recreational Activities: Regarding sports activities, the sub-directorate oversees all student sports events both within and outside the university. The university has also established sports clubs at the level of each faculty and institute, in addition to participating in national sports events organized by the ministry across universities nationwide.
Recreational activities were also created for students, such as chess.

It is my honor to welcome you to the page of the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities, which is one of the main pillars in the university system, and contributes to achieving the university’s mission and forming students who are scientifically, intellectually and humanly qualified.
The role of the university is not limited to transmitting academic and pedagogical knowledge and developing scientific research, but extends beyond that to building the student’s integrated personality, capable of critical thinking, teamwork, and taking responsibility, through the establishment of scientific and cultural clubs to contribute positively to university activity.
The Sub-Directorate for Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities, through its two departments (Department of Scientific and Cultural Activities, Department of Sports and Recreational Activities), works to design and implement diverse and balanced programs that include:
- Scientific activities that promote a spirit of research and innovation.
- Cultural activities that cultivate artistic, intellectual and historical awareness.
- Sports programs that promote a healthy lifestyle and a spirit of fair competition.
The directorate also seeks to implement organizational and professional standards that ensure the quality of activities and their suitability to the needs of students and the requirements of the university environment.
We emphasize the importance of students’ active participation in various activities and events, and we encourage serious student initiatives that contribute to enriching university life and promoting the values of excellence, discipline, teamwork and responsibility.
In conclusion, we emphasize the Sub-Directorate’s constant readiness to accompany and support student creativity in the scientific, cultural and sports fields, and we wish all our students a successful and fruitful university journey.
