As part of embodying national efforts aimed at consolidating a culture of occupational hazard prevention and promoting the principles of safety and health in the workplace, the University of Blida 1 hosted, on Tuesday, June 02, 2026, the activities of the media and awareness day on occupational hazard prevention, organized by the Wilaya Labor Inspectorate of Blida, in coordination with various bodies and partners active in the field of occupational safety and health.

The organization of this meeting comes within the framework of the joint national awareness campaign on occupational safety and health, organized under the slogan: “The dignity of the worker and his physical and psychological safety is the basis of occupational safety and health,” where it formed a space for exchanging experiences and knowledge on ways to prevent occupational risks, and to promote a safe and healthy work environment, in order to ensure the protection of human resources and to preserve the dignity of the worker and his physical and psychological safety.

This awareness day saw the participation of representatives from various institutions and bodies concerned, where a number of topics were addressed related to legislation and regulations concerning occupational safety and health, mechanisms for assessing risks and reducing occupational accidents, as well as highlighting the role of various actors in spreading a culture of prevention and promoting safe occupational behavior in workplaces.
