Office of Cooperation and External Relations

Tasks of the Office of Cooperation and External Relations :

  • Monitoring cooperation files with universities and cooperation agreements.

  • Following up on scientific leaves and internships.

  • Informing faculty members and assisting them in preparing their files.

  • Maintaining internship and scientific leave files and preserving their archives.

  • Following up on various scientific events, publicizing them, and maintaining their archives.

Types of Short-Term Mobility

1. Training for Skill Improvement Abroad:

  • Duration: 15 to 30 days for the following categories:

    1. Research professors who are regularly attending their PhD starting from the second registration.

    2. Non-employed students regularly enrolled in the PhD program starting from the second registration, with priority given to students who received stars (awards).

    3. Administrative and technical staff in the central administration and affiliated institutions, registered and holding at least a university degree.

  • Extended training (up to 5 months and 29 days) is organized for:

    1. Non-employed students enrolled in the second year of a Master’s program within joint international training programs leading to a double or joint degree, as part of twinning agreements.

    2. Non-employed PhD students under international joint supervision.

2. Short-Term High-Level Scientific Residencies:

  • Duration: 7 to 15 days

  • Organized for:

    • Professors, Assistant Professors Section “A”, and Assistant Professors Section “B” to prepare for their university qualification.

3. Participation in International Scientific Events:

  • Events must be classified and indexed in international databases.

  • Further information can be obtained from the Office of Cooperation and External Relations.

Selection Criteria

1. Training for Skill Improvement Abroad:

  • For research professors and non-employed PhD students:

    • Must be regularly enrolled, starting from the second registration, with the number of registrations determined according to applicable regulations.

    • For professors: employment certificate and appointment decision.

    • Work plan: a detailed project specifying objectives, methodology, and expected results, approved by the scientific authorities.

  • For PhD students under international joint supervision:

    • Copy of the international joint supervision agreement (provided by the university).

    • Regular enrollment in the PhD program in Algeria, with the number of registrations determined according to applicable regulations.

  • For second-year Master’s students in joint international training programs leading to a double or joint degree:

    • Regular enrollment in the second year of Master’s.

    • Copy of the agreement specifying the joint international training program (provided by the university).

  • For administrative and technical staff (permanent) holding a university degree:

    • Copy of the agreement under international cooperation and university partnerships (provided by the university).

    • Employment certificate and appointment decision.

    • Proof of university degree.

    • Certificate proving work within supporting entities (university units), if applicable.

2. Short-Term High-Level Scientific Residencies:

  • A comprehensive and detailed work plan specifying objectives, methodology, and expected results.

3. Participation in Classified International Scientific Events:

  • Regular enrollment, starting from the second registration, for non-employed PhD students.

  • Application for participation must be accompanied by:

    • Supervisor’s opinion on the thesis.

    • Approval of the Scientific Council.
