Within the framework of the national awareness campaign on the prevention of food poisoning, the University of Blida 1, in coordination with the Directorate of Commerce of the Blida Province and in the presence of representatives from the Blida Province Security Services, hosted an awareness and sensitization day for the university community. This event saw the attendance and participation of several active bodies and institutions specializing in health, prevention, and consumer protection.
This day served as an opportunity to enhance health awareness among students, staff, and professors by providing explanations and practical advice on the risks of food poisoning, its causes, and ways to prevent it. Additionally, brochures and informational materials were distributed to instill sound health behaviors and promote a culture of safe consumption.
The program also included an exhibition of various monitoring tools and equipment used by inspection agents from the Directorate of Commerce, alongside specialized equipment from the security services. This allowed participants to learn about the efforts exerted to protect consumers and ensure the safety and quality of food items offered for consumption.
The organization of this activity falls within the framework of strengthening the partnership between the university and various institutional actors to spread a culture of prevention and promote health awareness, particularly within university environments. This contributes to protecting public health and establishing principles of prevention as a civilized and responsible choice.
This awareness day received media coverage from local press outlets, underscoring the importance of the awareness messages addressed to society and their role in promoting sound consumer behavior and preventing risks associated with food poisoning.
