On Monday morning, June 29, 2026, the Main Conference Hall at the University of Blida 1 hosted the opening of the 3rd National Seminar on Biology and Pharmaceutical Toxicology (3SNBPT 2026). The event was organized by the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Nature and Life Sciences, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Food Sciences, Technology, and Sustainable Development (University of Blida 1).
The opening ceremony was attended by the University’s Vice-Rectors in charge of Pedagogy, Scientific Research, and External Relations, alongside the Faculty’s community—led by the Dean—and an elite group of professors, researchers, and representatives from various university and research institutions.
Opening Remarks and Seminar Vision
In the opening address, representatives of the University Rector welcomed the attendees. They emphasized the importance of this scientific event in:
-
Promoting scientific research and fostering collaboration among researchers.
-
Opening new horizons for exchanging expertise and knowledge in biology, pharmaceutical toxicology, and bioformulations.
-
Aligning with national directives aimed at supporting innovation and scientific research.
Professor Khaldoun Hassina, President of the Seminar, explained that this edition aligns with the “One Health” approach. This approach is based on the integration of human, animal, and environmental health, focusing on the development of bioformulations as innovative and sustainable alternatives to traditional chemical products. This contributes to protecting public health, preserving the environment, and supporting sustainable development goals.
Main Scientific Pillars
The seminar’s proceedings cover four main scientific tracks:
- Natural bioformulations and essential oils.
- Biocontrol and natural biopesticides.
- Pharmaceutical toxicology and health.
- Eco-bioformulations and the circular economy.
The program for this edition features scientific lectures led by specialized professors and experts, as well as oral presentations and poster sessions showcasing the latest research findings and innovations. These activities aim to enhance the exchange of expertise and support the development of sustainable scientific solutions to serve health and the environment.
Conclusion and Acknowledgments
In this context, the organizing committee expressed its deepest gratitude and appreciation to all participants, partners, and sponsors who contributed to the success of this scientific event.
The seminar’s activities will span two consecutive days and are scheduled to conclude tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, following the completion of the designated scientific program across its various tracks and academic activities.
