As part of the national efforts aimed at establishing a culture of occupational risk prevention and reinforcing the principles of safety and health in the workplace, Blida 1 University hosted, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the activities of the Information and Awareness Day on the Prevention of Occupational Risks. The event was organized by the Provincial Labour Inspectorate of Blida, in coordination with various institutions and active partners in the field of occupational safety and health.
The organization of this meeting comes within the framework of the joint national awareness campaign on occupational safety and health, held under the slogan: ‘The Worker’s Dignity, Physical and Psychological Integrity are the Foundation of Occupational Safety and Health.’ It served as a platform to exchange expertise and knowledge on ways to prevent occupational hazards and promote a safe and healthy working environment, thereby ensuring the protection of human resources and safeguarding the worker’s dignity as well as their physical and psychological well-being.
This awareness day saw the participation of representatives from various concerned institutions and bodies. The discussions covered a range of topics related to legislations and regulations governing occupational safety and health, risk assessment mechanisms, and the reduction of workplace accidents. Furthermore, it highlighted the role of different stakeholders in spreading a culture of prevention and promoting safe professional behavior within workplaces.
