At the Institute of Science and Applied Technologies (ISTA), internships are considered a fundamental component of students’ practical training. They aim to enable students to acquire hands-on skills and connect theoretical learning with practical application
Duration of internships by study year
First year: One month (8 sessions)
Second year: Two months (16 sessions)
Third year: Four months (32 sessions)
Master 2: Four months (32 sessions)
At a rate of two sessions per week
Internship procedures
The student is responsible for finding an internship placement on their own
They then go to the Internship Office to request an internship authorization
The authorization must be signed by the director of the host institution
After returning it, the office prepares the internship agreement, which must also be signed by the same director
Number of requests
A student may submit one or more internship requests;
however, they cannot obtain two internship agreements at the same time.
The second agreement is issued only after the first one has been submitted.
Additional internships
A student may undertake additional internships under the same time conditions defined for each academic year
However, only one internship is counted in the annual evaluation, while the remaining internships are considered optional additional experiences
Internship final report
At the end of the academic year, the student is required to prepare a detailed internship report about their field experience
The report includes a description of the institution’s activities, the tasks performed, and the technical and scientific insights gained.
This report serves as the basis for the official evaluation of the internship for that year
The internship file consists of
A signed request from the host institution-
Two internship agreements (original and additional)-
Internship authorization-
Attendance form (or signature card)-
End-of-internship certificate-
Annual internship report-
