Speech of the Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Ahmed Louazani

I’m very pleased, in my own name and on behalf of the pedagogical, scientific, and administrative staff of the Faculty of Sciences, to welcome you to this digital space dedicated to the Faculty of Sciences at Saad Dahlab University – Blida 1.

Our faculty is composed of four departments: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry. It offers its students a wide range of academic and applied training programs covering the three university cycles: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD.

These programs fall under two main fields: Materials Science (SM) and Mathematics and Computer Science (MI), from which four main specializations branch out: Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. They include 7 Bachelor’s programs and 14 Master’s programs, supervised by qualified professors, each in their respective field and specialization.

The faculty includes seven research laboratories affiliated with its departments, namely: LPTHIRM, LCSNBIOM, LRDSI, LCPMM, LCPCMIA, LPEN, and LAMDA-RO. All of them contribute to the advancement of scientific research and to fulfilling the university’s mission by supporting PhD training.

This year, we have enrolled 126 PhD students, including 86 registered in the new LMD doctoral system and 40 in the classical PhD system.

The sincere and continuous efforts of our professors and administrative staff are driving our faculty toward new horizons, both in pedagogy and research, in line with the latest national strategies in higher education and scientific research.

Digitalization is a key priority for us, as the management of our faculty’s activities and tasks will, in the short and medium term, be carried out using modern digital tools and technologies.
