The Rector of the University of Blida 1, Professor Mohamed Bezina, participated on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026, in the National Strategic Meeting on the Transition to the Fourth Generation University (University 4.0). The event was held at the University of Algiers 1 – Benyoucef Benkhedda, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The meeting was dedicated to presenting the progress of reform workshops and exploring the prospects for generalizing the University 4.0 model. This model is based on:

• Digitizing services
• Developing pedagogical practices
• Strengthening governance
• Supporting innovation and international openness

The event also saw the participation of international partners, notably the UNIMED network, with an emphasis on the importance of strengthening academic cooperation and developing joint programs with European universities.
