On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the Rector of Blida 1 University, Professor Bezina Mohamed, chaired a coordination meeting attended by the Secretary General of the University, the Director of the Central Library, and the heads of the libraries of the faculties and institutes.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing the project to digitize university libraries within the framework of digital transformation in the higher education sector and enhancing the role of the university within the fourth-generation university system.
The importance of digitizing the documentary collection, which includes books, references, dissertations, and scientific journals, was also discussed, with the aim of preserving scientific resources, facilitating access to them for students and researchers, improving library services, and supporting scientific research.
In the same context, the University Director emphasized the need to unify efforts between the central library and the libraries of colleges and institutes to achieve the goals set within the framework of developing university services and enhancing the digital environment for research and knowledge.
