An introductory course to online teaching for first years at ISTA

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, new first-year ISTA students participated in an introductory session on online teaching and the use of the institute's website. This course, led by Mr. Toumi Mohamed, responsible for distance learning and digitalization within the institute, took place in the presence of Mr. Director, Nabi Mustapha, and Director of Studies, Nabil BoukhariThe goal was to help students become familiar with the digital tools essential to their academic success.

The Director opened the session by highlighting the growing importance of online education, which has become essential in modern university education. He encouraged students to embrace these new technologies to optimize their learning and take full advantage of the opportunities offered by technology.

Mr. Nabil Boukhari, Director of Studies, also spoke to emphasize the need to remain engaged and motivated in the face of digital challenges, reminding students that adaptability is a key skill in today's world.

Mr. Toumi Mohamed then detailed the different methods for following online courses, including access to videoconferences and the course platform. He emphasized good practices for success in this digital environment and gave advice on time management and active interaction during classes.

One of the highlights of the session was the live demonstration of the institute’s website. Mr. Toumi Mohamed guided the students through the different sections, showing how to access announcements, download educational files, and use online services such as internship applications, book loans, and administrative procedures. He also answered students’ questions, promoting a better understanding of the tools available.

This introductory session allowed students to better understand ISTA's digital environment and to feel integrated into an institute that is resolutely turned towards the future. The Director concluded by encouraging them to be proactive and to take full advantage of the available resources.
