On the sidelines of the working and inspection visit conducted by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Mr. Yacine Oualid, to the Province of Blida, the Rector of the University of Blida 1, Professor Mohamed Bezina, attended a meeting between the Minister, local farmers, and sector stakeholders. The event was held under the theme: ‘Blida… Sustainable Agricultural Leadership to Achieve Food Security and Digital Transformation.’

The Rector’s participation in this meeting falls within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the university and its economic and social environment. This is particularly focused on applied scientific research and agricultural innovation, supporting the state’s efforts to achieve food security and promote smart farming.

The occasion also served as an opportunity to exchange views on how the university can support agricultural projects through academic expertise, scientific research, and technology transfer. These efforts align with national directives aimed at establishing sustainable agricultural development based on knowledge and digitalization.
