At the kind invitation of Huawei Algeria, the Director of the University of Blida 1, Professor Bezina Mohamed, participated in the ICT Day 2026 events organized by the company under the slogan
“Inspiring Talent to Shape the Future”
The event witnessed the conclusion of Huawei Algeria's Tech4Connect competition, which brought together a select group of students, innovators, and technology enthusiasts in a competitive environment aimed at encouraging creativity and developing innovative technological solutions.
During this event, participants worked on developing projects based on the latest technologies, such as 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital power, within two main tracks aimed at finding practical solutions to various real-world challenges and supporting the path of digital transformation and innovation.
The participation of students from Blida 1 University culminated in a remarkable achievement, as the university team secured second place in this prestigious technology competition, reflecting the level of excellence and innovation possessed by the university's students in the fields of technology and scientific research.
The coronation ceremony took place at the Sheraton Hotel, in the presence of company representatives and a number of key players in the technology and innovation sector.
