Within the framework of the second National Initiative, the University of Blida 1 organized a large-scale reforestation campaign today, Sunday, February 15, 2026. The initiative covered the university’s sports complex and the perimeter of the Mitidja University Farm.

The operation witnessed active participation from various members of the university community, who all contributed with a high volunteer spirit to ensure the success of this purposeful environmental initiative.

This campaign is part of national efforts aimed at expanding green spaces and strengthening measures to face environmental challenges by instilling a culture of tree planting and volunteer work. It also aims to protect natural resources and achieve the principles of sustainable development, in addition to planting environmental values in children and youth, fostering a culture of environmental conservation, and promoting responsible citizenship among the rising generations.
