With the Participation of Major International Companies… University of Blida 1 Organizes a Distinguished Scientific and Technological Event

Today, Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the Grand Conference Hall of University of Blida 1 hosted the launch of the exceptional Open Days on Innovation in Electrical Engineering. The event was organized by the university in partnership with the Entrepreneurs and Industrialists Club and Ben Cherchali Electricity Company “Blida Electric,” with the participation of several leading international companies accredited in Algeria, including Schneider Electric, Siemens, Phoenix Contact, and other major actors in the industrial and technological sectors.

This scientific and technological event witnessed the distinguished presence of experts, engineers, university professors, and students, in addition to representatives of national and international economic and industrial institutions. The event was also attended by the President of the Entrepreneurs and Industrialists Club, Mr. Bouhamed Rachid, alongside company managers and representatives. This initiative reflects the new dynamism of the Algerian university and its continuous openness to its economic and industrial environment, while strengthening bridges of cooperation between the university and industrial and technological institutions.

In his opening speech, the Rector of Blida 1 University, Professor Mohamed Bezina, stressed that such high-quality initiatives embody the spirit of the New Algeria based on knowledge, innovation, and the integration of universities with the world of industry and technology. He noted that the Algerian university has become a genuine platform for creativity and future-building through the reinforcement of practical training and the encouragement of partnerships with economic and industrial institutions.

The Rector also warmly welcomed the university’s distinguished guests from global companies, experts, and economic stakeholders, praising their contribution to supporting training, innovation, and the transfer of modern expertise to students and researchers.

The Open Days program included a specialized technical exhibition showcasing the latest industrial equipment and technological solutions in the field of electrical engineering, along with a series of technical presentations and lectures addressing recent developments in industrial automation, digitalization, smart control solutions, electrical protection systems, and modern industrial digital platforms.

The event also provided an opportunity to discuss prospects for cooperation and preparations for signing partnership agreements with the participating companies, in a way that serves the interests of students and professors while strengthening training, field application, and the exchange of expertise.
