On Monday, April 27, 2026, the delegation from the University City of Blida set off towards the state of Biskra to participate in the activities of the National University Games, which will be held from April 27 to May 05, 2026.
An official farewell ceremony was held for the delegation at the university's sports complex, in the presence of the Director of the University of Blida 1, Professor Bezina Mohamed, in his capacity as Director of the University City, along with the Director of Youth and Sports for the state of Blida, the Directors of University Services of Blida and Affroun, a representative of the National Higher School of Irrigation, and the person in charge of managing the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities.
In his address, the University Director urged the members of the delegation to honor the University City and the University of Blida 1 by demonstrating high sportsmanship, discipline, and good morals, stressing the importance of fair competition and teamwork to achieve the best results and raise the University flag high.
The sports delegation of the University City of Blida, under the auspices of the Provincial Association of University Sports, includes approximately 70 individuals, including male and female athletes, in addition to coaches and escorts, which reflects the serious participation and good preparation for this national event.
 The university delegation is participating in several diverse sports disciplines, in a move that reflects the growing interest in university sports and its role in developing talents and promoting a spirit of belonging and positive competition among students.
