On May 5th, 2026, the Coordinating Board of the Biotechnology Platform for Medicine and Animal Reproduction held a meeting at the University of Blida 1.

The session was chaired by the Vice-Rector in charge of Development and Forecasting, Dr. Ait Saadi Mohamed Hocine, representing the Rector of the University. The meeting was attended by board members, led by the Director of the Platform, Professor Belali Reda. The proceedings took place at the University Rectorate’s meeting room using a hybrid format, combining in-person attendance with remote video conferencing.

Focus on “BIOMERA”

The participants also addressed the status of “BIOMERA”, a limited liability subsidiary (SARL) derived from the platform. Discussions focused on:

• Strategies for its development.

• Strengthening its role in supporting scientific research.

• Enhancing its contribution to innovation and value creation (valorization).
