On Monday, May 04, 2026, the University of Blida 1 organized, in the university’s main conference hall, the second awareness and information day on the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, as part of its efforts to consolidate the culture of quality and promote the principles of continuous improvement within the university environment.
The day's events began with the official opening session, during which the floor was given to the University Director, Professor Bazina Mohamed, who stressed the importance of this initiative in spreading a culture of quality within the university institution, and the need for collective engagement in adopting the quality management system, given its pivotal role in improving performance and enhancing university services.
The program included a series of specialized scientific interventions, including a presentation on the project to develop a Quality Management System (SMQ) in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 at the university level.
A presentation on raising awareness of quality management, based on the same standard, was also given by the ALCeF Director and Senior Management Systems Auditor, who emphasized the importance of adopting a quality approach to improving organizational performance. This was followed by another presentation addressing the requirements of a quality management system according to the latest updates (2024 Amendment), highlighting the role of training and support in ensuring the success of the quality process.
The event concluded with a question and answer session that allowed attendees to interact and exchange views, before the closing of the proceedings was announced.
Those in charge of this event confirmed that the university’s path to obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification is witnessing remarkable progress, as many of the basic tasks have been successfully completed, while work continues at a regular pace to complete the remaining requirements within the specified deadlines, thus ensuring the achievement of this strategic goal in the near future.
The event was attended by the Vice-Rectors of the University, faculty and institute officials, as well as a number of members of the university community.
