I am honored to inform you that the General Directorate of UNESCO has launched the call for nominations for the 2026 edition of the UNESCO – King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education, under the theme: “Reinventing Creativity and Critical Thinking with Artificial Intelligence.” Two (02) laureates will be selected and awarded a prize of USD 25,000 each.
Established in 2005 with the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain, this Prize aims to recognize projects and activities carried out by individuals, institutions, other entities, or non-governmental organizations that demonstrate outstanding models, best practices, and innovative uses of information and communication technologies in order to:
- Improve the quality of education and learning;
- Develop teaching methods;
- Enhance educational performance in general.
In this context, our country, as a Member State of UNESCO, is invited to submit up to three (03) nominations no later than 08 May 2026, online and through the National Commission.
