On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Faculty of Sciences of Blida 1 University, the activities of the scientific days organized by the Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of Inorganic Materials and their Applications (LPCMIA) were launched, with the participation of a select group of research professors and doctoral students, in addition to representatives of various actors in the scientific and economic environments and representatives of the Center for Technological Support and Innovation. 
According to Professor Bouamra Faiza, the laboratory director, this scientific event aims to consolidate the dynamism of academic research and enhance its openness to its socio-economic environment, by presenting and evaluating the laboratory’s scientific research outputs, strengthening multidisciplinary interaction, and encouraging the establishment of sustainable partnerships between higher education institutions and the industrial sector, which contributes to supporting scientific and technological innovation at the national level.
This event also aims to highlight mechanisms for valuing the results of scientific research, and to introduce sources of funding for projects with an economic and social dimension, in addition to developing opportunities for continuous training and professional qualification, enabling researchers to acquire advanced competencies in the field of materials physics.
The scientific program was distinguished by its diverse themes and rich content, including a series of specialized lectures addressing current topics such as the properties and applications of rare-earth element-doped fluorescent materials, spectroscopic analysis techniques, and the use of artificial intelligence in scientific modeling. Scientific sessions were also dedicated to presenting and discussing doctoral student work, providing a suitable scientific framework for knowledge exchange and enhancing research capabilities.
