The establishment of the University Incubator as a shared interest at the University of Blida stems from the evolution of activities previously managed by the "Entrepreneurship House" (established in 2014) and the growing importance of these activities. This structure was initially tasked with integrating an entrepreneurial culture within the university environment. However, over the years, these activities have diversified and expanded, attracting an increasing number of students with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial projects.
History
The Professional Development Center (CDC) of Blida is an institution established in 2015 within the University of Blida, and is located in Wing 23.
Contracting House
It is a university body that supports students with innovative ideas, and helps them to transform these concepts into tangible projects that ultimately lead to the establishment of an institution (start-up). The Entrepreneurship House was established in 2014 at the University of Blida 1, in cooperation with the National Agency for Youth Employment Support (ANSEJ).
Establishing the incubator
The need to establish the “Incubator” department at the University of Blida 1 stemmed from the fact that the “Entrepreneurship House” — which has been active since 2014 — has witnessed development and diversification in its activities, and has gained considerable momentum. It was no longer simply a matter of integrating an entrepreneurial culture into the university environment, but rather of managing the increasing influx of students with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial projects. This conclusion led to the clear imperative of establishing a dedicated incubator, which was officially approved in 2022.
