On the morning of Monday, March 2th, 2026, the Rector of University of Blida 1, Professor Mohamed Bezina, participated in the ceremony for the delivery of the first authorization in Algeria for a university-based venture capital investment company.

The event was presided over by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, alongside the Minister of Finance, Mr. Abdelkrim Boualzard, at the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences (University of Algiers 3).

In a national first, this authorization was granted to the Financial Investment Company of the University of Algiers 3, in the presence of the President of the Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB).

This milestone aligns with the state’s strategic direction to:

• Strengthen the concept of the “Productive University.”

• Foster innovation.

• Provide funding for university-based startups.
