International collaborations and research contracts
  •  2003-2004: Collaboration with the Laboratory of Microbial Genetics. INRA–CRJ. 78352 Jouy en Josas cedex (France). Work has been carried out on the genotypic identification of thermophilic streptococci isolated from raw milk. Finalization of my doctoral thesis.
  • 2004 to date: Collaboration with the Laboratory of Enzymes and Metabolites of Prokaryotes. Sfax Biotechnology Center (Tunisia). Work has been carried out on the isolation of a collection of lactic acid bacteria from different ecological niches in Algeria and Tunisia. Other work is in progress on microbial proteases and peroxidases. Realization of doctoral theses (Mm. Fodil and Mm. Benkiar).
  • 2008 to date: Collaboration with the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Laboratory of Blaise Pascal Clermont Ferrant University (France). Work is in progress on the screening of strains of lactic acid bacteria producing exopolysaccharides. Completion of Mr. Moustefaoui's doctoral thesis.
  • 2007-2010: Research contract n° 6313PS652 with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie for the setting up of the Regional Center of Excellence (PER) of Environmental and Industrial Bioprocesses within the Bioprocess Laboratory (Biotechnology Center of Sfax, Tunisia) . Work is in progress on the biodegradation of hydrocarbons and the production of biosurfactants. Realization of two doctoral theses (Mr. Eddouaouda and Mm. Ferhat).
  • 2012-2015: Algerian-Tunisian cooperation project. Screening, biochemical and molecular study, improvement and industrial and environmental application of microorganism proteases and peroxidases for detergency, tanning and biotreatment of polluted seawater.
