The training is academic. Its purpose is to deepen the student's knowledge of Theoretical Physics and to introduce him to research with a view to pursuing postgraduate studies. The know-how acquired in terms of theoretical solutions and modeling of physical phenomena can also enrich the contribution of the holders of this Master's degree to the economic sector.

The Theoretical Physics course provides high-level education in fundamental physics and open research training in a wide range of fields. Despite its theoretical orientation, the course is aimed at both future experimenters and future theoreticians.

This training is aimed at students interested in a career in teaching physics in the national education sector. This master also aims to introduce students to scientific research.

At the end of this training, the student must acquire the basic knowledge of theoretical physics. He will thus be able to enter several areas of research. He will be able to follow a third cycle training (doctorate). At the end of this postgraduate training, the student will be able to apply for a teaching research position at the university.

Semester 4 will be devoted to an internship in a research laboratory sanctioned by an initiation to research dissertation which will be presented orally before an evaluation jury. The memory is considered as a unit of fundamental education.
