On Thursday, May 8, 2025, the President of the University of Blida, Professor Mohamed Bezina, participated in the commemoration of the national anniversary of May 8, 1945, under the supervision of the Governor of the State, Professor Ibrahim Ouchen, and in the presence of representatives of the local, security, civil and revolutionary authorities.

The authorities visited the Martyrs' Cemetery in the municipality of Blida, where the national flag was raised, the national anthem was played, and Surah Al-Fatiha was recited, in commemoration of the souls of the righteous martyrs.
