Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI)

The Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI) at the University of Blida 1 is part of a global program managed by World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)Its primary role is to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application. By facilitating access to advanced technical information, CATI enables researchers, doctoral candidates, and students to transform their innovative ideas into protected assets, thereby strengthening the university's position as an engine for national economic development.

The primary mission of CATI is to master patent information. The center provides dedicated support for accessing global databases and high-quality scientific publications. This technical assistance translates into practical application through conducting prior research and technology status analyses. This stage is crucial as it allows research to be directed toward unexplored areas, avoids technological duplication, and verifies the patentability of an invention before any significant investment or scientific publication.

CATI acts as a strategic advisor in industrial and intellectual property. The center accompanies innovators through the filing process.
