The second day of the National Dog Show, in its twelfth edition, organized under the supervision of the Institute of Veterinary Sciences at the University of Blida 1 and at the initiative of the “Ibn Al-Baytar” Scientific Club, witnessed a vibrant and distinctive atmosphere dominated by the applied and competitive nature, in a real embodiment of the integration between academic training and field practice.

The day's activities began with welcoming the participants and registering the dogs in the morning at the university's Metidja farm, followed by the official launch of the competitions through a general display of the various participating breeds, where attendees had the opportunity to discover the diversity of the participating dogs and the quality of their breeding.

The event featured a Guard Dogs competition, showcasing a high level of training and discipline through demonstrations that highlighted the dogs' ability to respond to commands and react to various situations, all under the supervision of expert trainers. A Beauty Dogs competition was also held, in which the dogs underwent rigorous evaluation according to scientific criteria including physical conformation, health, and pedigree.

The program also included distinctive training and demonstration shows, which showcased the dogs’ advanced skills in multiple fields, giving the event an interactive character that attracted the attention of the attendees.

A specialized judging panel, comprising veterinarians and dog breeding and training experts, undertook the process of evaluating the entries according to precise criteria, to ensure transparency and credibility in the results.

The second day's events concluded with an official awards ceremony for the winners in various categories, as well as honoring the participants and organizers, in a festive atmosphere that reflected the success of this event in terms of organization and participation.

The success of this edition of the National Dog Show confirms its status as a prominent annual event that combines scientific training with field application, and reflects the keenness of Blida 1 University to support purposeful student initiatives and promote the quality of training in the field of veterinary medicine.
