Today, the aviation sector has become indispensable for achieving sustainable development in a country like Algeria. For over twenty years, Algeria has invested in training in aviation technology specialties, notably through the aviation department at the University of Blida.

The proposed Bachelor of Science in Air Operations aims to train highly skilled specialists in air operations, aviation legislation, aviation safety, and air traffic control. Students are also trained to ensure the proper functioning of air navigation and flight monitoring.

This three-year program brings together the scientific and technical foundations necessary to enable graduates to integrate into the field Flight operations Within the aviation sector, both in Algeria and abroad. It also aims to meet the needs of the aviation sector, particularly in the field of Air transport companies in Algeria

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn programming using an advanced programming language such as (Fortran, Pascal or C).. The choice of programming language is left to the discretion of each educational institution. The concept of algorithms should also be implicitly addressed during the learning process.

Practical work (TP) aims to clarify the concepts taught during theoretical lessons and should proceed in parallel with the lessons according to the following schedule.

• Introductory practical exercises to familiarize participants with computers in terms of hardware components and operating systems, exploring the various functions and capabilities of operating systems.

.

Graduates with a bachelor's degree trained in this way will gain in-depth knowledge of flight planning and management, as well as aviation regulations. They will also be able to oversee flight operations at the airline level. The most targeted professions are as follows:

 Airlines

Civil Aviation Authority

Air Navigation Management

Aircraft airworthiness

Airport operation and management

Employability is the driving force behind the launch of this program and represents the key indicator of its success. In this context, the following points should be clarified: the employment opportunities for graduates at the national and international levels, agreements with the socio-economic sector, and the possibilities for internships in sectors benefiting from this specialization.

The aviation sector, as the beneficiary sector, employs graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Air Operations and contributes to their training through specialists from the sector who participate in the training process, in addition to receiving students within their departments during internship periods.

Some of the most important organizations and institutions that employ graduates of air operations are the following:

  • Air Algérie

  • Tassili Airlines

  • Tassili for Air Work (Tassili Travail Aérien)

  • Air Express

  • Star Aviation

  • General Directorate of Civil Aviation

  • National Air Navigation Services

  • Airports Management Authority

  • National Meteorological Office
