On Monday, April 27th, 2026, the Board of Directors of the University of Blida 1 held a meeting chaired by Professor Ben Yaïche Abdelkrim, Rector of the University of Béjaïa, in the presence of the Rector of Blida 1, Professor Bezina Mohamed, and the members of the Board. During the session, the Board unanimously approved the creation of a Mutual Venture Capital Fund (FCPR) dedicated to supporting startups and innovation.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen the university’s role within the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. By adopting a specialized financing mechanism, the university aims to support technological projects and translate scientific research results into viable, high-growth economic initiatives.

The meeting’s agenda also included the study and discussion of several other related matters.
