Today, Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the Faculty of Science at the University of Blida 1 launched the “Scientific Days” organized by the Laboratory of Physics and Chemistry of Inorganic Materials and their Applications (LPCMIA). The event saw the participation of distinguished research professors, doctoral students, and representatives from the scientific and economic sectors, as well as delegates from the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC).

Strategic Objectives

According to Professor Bouamra Fayza, Director of the Laboratory, this scientific event aims to:

  • Strengthen Academic Research: Solidify the dynamics of research and enhance its openness to the socio-economic environment.

  • Evaluate Research Outputs: Present and assess the lab’s scientific findings and foster interdisciplinary interaction.

  • Build Partnerships: Encourage sustainable collaborations between higher education institutions and the industrial sector to support national scientific and technological innovation.

  • Value and Fund Research: Highlight mechanisms for valorizing research results and identify funding sources for projects with high economic and social impact.

  • Professional Development: Develop continuous training and vocational qualification opportunities, enabling researchers to acquire advanced competencies in the field of materials physics.

Scientific Program Highlights

The program featured a diverse and rich agenda, including specialized lectures on contemporary topics such as:

  1. Luminescent Materials: Characteristics of materials doped with rare-earth elements and their various applications.
  2. Spectroscopy: Advanced techniques in spectroscopic analysis.
  3. Artificial Intelligence: The integration of AI techniques in scientific modeling.

Additionally, dedicated scientific sessions were held to present and discuss the work of doctoral students, providing an ideal academic framework for knowledge exchange and the enhancement of research capabilities.
