New International Recognition for Blida 1 University in FAO Publication

In a new achievement reflecting the standing of Blida 1 University and its leading role in supporting innovation and empowering female talent, the book “Voices of Women – Food Heroes in Algeria” (Voix de Femmes – Héroïnes de l’Alimentation en Algérie) was recently released.

Published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to mark International Women’s Day, the book features a distinguished presence from Blida 1 University through the participation of two accomplished women:

Ms. Dehnane Hanane: Manager of the Mitidja University Farm at Blida 1 University.
Ms. Guerdjij Amel: Manager of the Sub-Foundation Office for Consultancy, Orientation, and Development at the University.

Both women successfully translated scientific research results into innovative economic projects within the fields of food security and sustainable development. Their contributions highlight the university’s dynamism in bridging the gap between scientific research and the socio-economic environment.
