The Inauguration of the “Department of Civil Engineering” , A new department was established under the name ‘Department of Civil Engineering’. It was designed to admit students into their third year, following the successful completion of the Common Core Technology Program (T.C.T)

Urban Planning (IAU) following the restructuring of the University of Blida, in accordance with Article 2 of Executive Decree No. 13-163, dated 4 Jumada al-Thani 1434 (corresponding to April 15, 2013).

Furthermore, the Institute serves as a research hub within the Doctoral School established in 2015, which primarily focuses on Architecture, Urban Heritage, and the Environment.
