Duties of the Vice-Dean:

In accordance with the Joint Ministerial Decree dated 8 Rajab 1425 corresponding to 24 August 2004, which defines the administrative organization of the university, faculty, institute, university annex, and their common services (Official Gazette No. 62 dated 26 September 2004).

Article 23:
The Vice-Dean in charge of postgraduate studies, scientific research, and external relations is entrusted with the following duties:

• Monitoring the conduct of admission competitions for postgraduate studies

• Taking or proposing the necessary measures to ensure the proper functioning of postgraduate training programs

• Supervising the conduct of defenses of postgraduate dissertations and theses

• Monitoring scientific research activities

• Initiating partnerships with economic and social sectors

• Initiating actions to strengthen national and international university cooperation

• Implementing capacity-building and faculty retraining programs

• Monitoring the activities of the Faculty Scientific Council and preserving its archives

The Vice-Dean in charge of postgraduate studies, scientific research, and external relations is assisted by:

• Head of the Postgraduate Studies Training Follow-up Service

• Head of the Scientific Research Activities Follow-up Service

• Head of the Cooperation and External Relations Service
