I am honored to inform you that the UNESCO Directorate-General has launched a call for nominations for the 2026 cycle of the UNESCO-King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education, which bears the theme: “Reinventing Creativity and Critical Thinking with Artificial Intelligence”, where two (02) winners will be selected and each will be awarded a financial prize of US$25,000.

This award was established in 2005 with the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and aims to honor projects and activities carried out by individuals, institutions, other bodies or non-governmental organizations, that highlight outstanding models, best practices and innovative use of information and communication technologies.

Enhancing overall educational performance

In this context, our country, as a member of UNESCO, is invited to submit up to three (03) nominations, by May 08, 2026, online and through the National Commission.
